Our latest additions to the corrosion-resistant stainless steel product family includes fluid sight glasses, magnetic plugs, and fill / drain plugs. Fluid sight glasses GN 7440 are equipped with a sight glass that is metal-fused to the body by a thermal process. As a result the liquid glass adapts precisely to the contour of the body. During cooling, the different coefficients of linear expansion of the two joining partners generate strong mechanical initial stress between the glass and metal. Magnetic plugs GN 738. 5 attract iron particles that float in the fluid. The stainless steel makes them suitable for use in particularly aggressive environments. To prevent breakage and demagnetization, the round magnets are supplied with a plastic spacer and protection sleeve, which has to be removed prior to installing the plugs. Fluid fill / drain plugs GN 742. 5 can be used in particularly aggressive environments thanks to the corrosion resistance of AISI 316L (A4) stainless steel. The seal is embedded in a radial recess and thus cannot be lost, squeezed out, or overloaded during tightening.
